Job summary

Smile Digital Health seeks a Solutions Architect – Sales to shape and deliver the Health Data Platform vision. You will guide clients through the full breadth of Smile’s solutions, from exploratory conversations to architectural diagrams and RFP responses.

You’ll build strategic client relationships, lead the buying journey, and collaborate with Sales and engineering to map customer goals to Smile capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience leading business development, technical sales and/or customer consulting and contributing to system design/architecture.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare technology including providers, payers, exchanges or government programs.
• Knowledge of HL7 FHIR and legacy healthcare integration standards.
• Hands-on implementation and customer consulting to understand business challenges.
• Experience building complex technology systems delivered to customers at scale.
• Ability to scope requirements through launch and drive implementations.
• Excellent communication to explain complex software features to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to RFP responses and technical proposals.
• Knowledge of SDLC and best practices for development and operations.
• Mentor new hires and elevate team performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with strategic clients and align with Smile's roadmap.
• Lead the customer buying journey with needs assessment and solutioning.
• Provide scoping and sandbox support; justify proposed solutions.
• Create IT architecture specifications and design documents.
• Present proposals to the Architecture Review Board for approval.
• Identify solutions for challenges and anticipate future issues.
• Support data migration to Smile’s platform with business model sensitivity.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations for strategic clients.
• Develop product demos and POCs to showcase Smile capabilities.
• Collaborate with Sales to implement effective account strategies.
• Act as liaison between customers, engineering, product and support.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Smile products, HL7 FHIR, market trends.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve product, sales and marketing.
