Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect on the Digital Natives team to shape the future of the big data landscape by working with the world’s most sophisticated data engineering and data science teams. You will design architectures using our platform and APIs and guide customers through best practices and integration patterns.

Reporting to the Field Engineering Manager, you will drive PoCs, collaborate with data engineers and data scientists, and help recruit contributors to Databricks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in data engineering, data science, architecture or pre-sales/consulting roles.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; cloud integrations with AWS/Azure/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to provide technical leadership and demonstrate Databricks value.
• Consult on big data architectures and proof-of-concepts across data engineering, data science, ML, and SQL workflows.
• Validate integrations with cloud services, internal tools, and third-party apps.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects and promote Databricks open-source projects.
