Job summary

Databricks Inc. seeks a Solutions Architect for the Digital Natives team to shape the big data landscape by collaborating with leading data engineers and data scientists at customer sites worldwide.

You will guide customers through architectures using our platform and APIs, drive technical initiatives with the sales team, develop champions, and promote Databricks open-source projects such as Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow. Travel to customer locations in your region is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, data science, architecture, or pre-sales/consulting.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Expertise in Spark, Hadoop or Kafka.
• Willingness to travel to customers in your region.
• Quantitative degree preferred (Computer Science, Applied Math, OR).
• Databricks Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team and provide technical leadership to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems.
• Consult on Big Data architectures, implement proofs of concepts for strategic projects, spanning data engineering, data science and ML workflows, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party apps.
• Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support customers and users.
• Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks-driven open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) across the developer community.
