Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Technical Leader (remote) to support SSR governance and transformation initiatives within the Security & Trust Organization.

You will manage improvement requests, coordinate releases, and drive SDLC governance by translating security requirements into actionable, engineer-friendly formats. Ideal candidates will have extensive Secure SDLC experience, strong DevSecOps know-how, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across

Qualifications

• Bachelors + 8 years related experience, or Masters + 6 years, or PhD + 3 years, or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive experience in Secure SDLC Methodology, including defining and governing software security requirements and release management.
• Proven track record in Security Requirements Engineering, transforming static policies into actionable, machine-readable requirements for engineering workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional transformation initiatives with subject matter experts, developers and product operations.
• Strong background in DevSecOps and Build Environment Security strategy, including designing agentic workflows and automation.

Responsibilities

• Support SSR governance and transformation initiatives on a day-to-day basis.
• Manage intake of improvement requests and coordinate regular requirements releases.
• Transform software security requirements from static policies into structured, machine-readable requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain agentic workflows that support governance, verification and reporting.
• Support initiatives such as threat modeling and build environment security.
