Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Software Engineering Technical Leader (remote) to join the Secure SDLC Methodology Team within the Security & Trust Organization. The role focuses on governing software security requirements and driving SSR transformation across the development lifecycle.

You will partner with SMEs and developers to convert static policies into machine-readable requirements, design agentic workflows, and support threat modeling and build environment security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's + 8 years of related experience, or Masters + 6 years, or PhD + 3 years, or equivalent related work experience.
• Extensive experience in Secure SDLC Methodology, including defining and governing software security requirements and release management.
• Proven track record in Security Requirements Engineering, transforming static policies into actionable, machine-readable requirements for engineering workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional transformation initiatives, coordinating across subject matter experts, developers, and product operations.
• Strong background in DevSecOps and Build Environment Security strategy, including designing agentic workflows and automation to support security governance, verification, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of SSR governance and the SSR transformation initiative.
• Manage the intake of improvement requests, coordinate regularly scheduled requirements releases, and drive governance initiatives.
• Design, build, and maintain agentic workflows that support security requirements governance, verification, and reporting.
