Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a Software Engineering Technical Leader (remote) to guide SSR governance and lead the SSR transformation initiative across the Secure SDLC. You will manage intake of improvement requests, coordinate regularly scheduled requirements releases, and drive modernization of security requirements for engineering workflows.

You will transform static policy documents into structured, machine-readable requirements, collaborating with SMEs, developers, and product operations

Qualifications

• Bachelors + 8 years of related experience, or Masters + 6 years, or PhD + 3 years, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in Secure SDLC Methodology, including defining and governing software security requirements and release management.
• Proven track record in Security Requirements Engineering, transforming static policies into actionable, machine-readable requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional transformation initiatives, coordinating across subject matter experts, developers, and product operations.
• Strong background in DevSecOps and Build Environment Security strategy, including designing agentic workflows and automation to support security governance, verification, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Render day-to-day governance of SSR and lead the SSR transformation initiative.
• Own intake and prioritization of improvement requests and coordinate requirements releases.
• Transform software security requirements from static policy documents into structured, machine-readable formats.
• Design, build, and maintain agentic workflows for governance, verification, and reporting; support threat modeling and build environment security.
