Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a seasoned security researcher to join the Advanced Security Initiatives Group (ASIG) to evaluate Cisco products and services, identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and improvements.

You will emulate real adversaries, craft mitigations, and collaborate with engineering teams to develop secure architectures; the role also supports independent or collaborative research under Cisco's innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of red teaming or penetration testing experience with emphasis on remote access and covert channels.
• 4+ years of exploit development and cloud security.
• 6+ years of Unix experience and 6+ years in security assessments.
• Solid understanding of Python, Go, or similar languages; able to code live.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Cisco products and services to identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and improvements.
• Emulate real-world adversaries using tools, techniques, and processes.
• Collaborate with Cisco's engineering teams to assess architectures and develop secure solutions.
