Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, invites senior or postgraduate students to join its Raytheon Cooperative Education Program as a part‑time, remote SW Platform Engineer. Selected candidates will pursue a path toward a full‑time onsite role in Richardson, TX after graduation and clearance.

Participants will engage in monthly seminars, complete Raytheon training, and participate in security clearance activities.

Qualifications

• Must be a Senior or Post‑Graduate with graduation/ completion of studies in December 2027 in Computer Science or related STEM major.
• Must have a minimum of 90 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co‑op session.
• Experience in software development utilizing scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, or Shell.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and maintenance of systems in support of customer missions.
• Participate in monthly engagement seminars and required Raytheon training; meet with a mentor.
• Transition to a full‑time onsite role in Richardson TX after graduation and clearance.
