Job summary

Kobie is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead Agile squads, translate business requirements into scalable software solutions, and drive end‑to‑end delivery. You will mentor engineers, shape modern distributed systems, and champion best practices across CI/CD, testing, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software development experience.
• 2+ years in engineering leadership or team management.
• Proven experience leading Agile development teams delivering production-grade software systems.
• Hands-on expertise in backend and frontend technologies (Java, Spring, Angular) and testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of modern Java architecture including event-driven design, Kafka, pub/sub, and microservices.
• Experience running production workloads in cloud-based, containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Knowledge of CI/CD strategies and test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Rest Assured, Postman).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more Agile development squads delivering scalable, high‑quality platform capabilities and client solutions.
• Partner with Product Owners and Solution Architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives with predictable execution and high quality.
• Mentor engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.
• Contribute to design and development of modern distributed systems and microservices.
