Job summary

Kobie, a leader in loyalty technology, seeks a Manager of Software Engineering to guide Agile squads, translate business needs into robust software solutions, and mentor a growing team. You will drive end-to-end delivery, partner with Product Owners and Architects, and champion modern distributed systems and reliable deployments.

You’ll shape engineering practices, collaborate across functions, and contribute to scalable platform initiatives in a remote-friendly, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software development experience with 2+ years in engineering leadership.
• Proven experience leading Agile development teams delivering production-grade software.
• Hands‑on expertise in modern backend and frontend technologies (Java, Spring, Angular) and testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of modern Java architecture including event‑driven design, Kafka, pub/sub, microservices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more Agile development squads within Software Engineering, delivering platform capabilities and client solutions.
• Partner with Product Owners and Architects to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Drive end-to-end delivery with focus on quality, timing, and client satisfaction.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and foster career growth.
• Contribute to design of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Champion testing, documentation, and operational readiness across squads.
• Define and evolve CI/CD strategies and infrastructure for automated deployments.
• Collaborate with QA, SDET, and cross-functional teams to improve test coverage.
