Job summary

Kobie is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead one or more Agile squads within our Software Engineering group. You will guide teams to deliver scalable platform capabilities and client solutions, partnering with product and architecture to translate requirements into robust designs.

You will mentor engineers, drive end-to-end delivery, and champion engineering practices, including testing, documentation, and CI/CD, in a remote-first, travel-aware environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software development experience with 2+ years in leadership or management.
• Proven experience leading Agile development teams delivering production-grade software systems.
• Hands-on expertise in backend and frontend technologies (Java, Spring, Angular) and testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of modern Java architecture, event-driven design, Kafka, and scalable microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more Agile development squads delivering scalable platform capabilities and client solutions.
• Partner with Product Owners, Solution Architects to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Drive end-to-end delivery with emphasis on quality, predictability, and alignment with client goals.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
