Job summary

One Call is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to design, develop, test, and maintain software for internal business partners and external customers. You will collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and teammates to deliver high-quality code on schedule and within budget.

The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work in a remote-first environment. A Bachelor's degree in CS/IS is required, with 7+ years of development experience expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, agile).
• Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition.
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provides application software development services or technical support.
• Follows One Call SDLC Standards.
• Develops and modifies program logic for new or existing applications.
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
• Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
• Ensures system improvements are implemented.
• Demonstrates understanding of One Call systems and workers' compensation industry.
• Plans and analyzes SD projects; translates requirements into designs.
