Job summary

One Call is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to development life cycle tasks for internal partners and external customers. You will design, code, test, and maintain software applications, collaborating with business analysts and product managers to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and comfort with varied SDLC methods in a remote-first setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, agile, etc.).
• Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition.
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willing to share relevant technical/industry knowledge with others.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas.

Responsibilities

• Provides application software development services or technical support in defined projects.
• Follows One Call SDLC Standards and develops/ modifies application logic.
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
• Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
• Ensures system improvements are implemented successfully.
• Understands One Call systems and workers' compensation industry.
• Participates in planning and analysis for SD projects.
• Translates requirements into product designs and writes specifications.
• Suggests technical alternatives and improves processes.
• Completes projects and may lead/mentor other technical professionals.
