One Call is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to drive implementation of critical software solutions. This role emphasizes leading development tasks, delivering on time, and aligning with business needs while mentoring junior engineers.

The position supports a remote-first environment with strong emphasis on collaboration, code quality, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced workers' compensation domain.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of end-to-end SDLC (waterfall, iterative, agile, and modern approaches).
• Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition.
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to share technical/industry knowledge with teammates.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides application software development services or technical support on defined projects.
• Follows One Call SDLC standards and contributes to planning and analysis phases.
• Develops and tests program logic for new applications or updates existing ones.
• Codes, debugs, documents, and maintains software applications and components.
• Ensures improvements are implemented and integrated successfully.
• Contributes to technical documentation and specifications.
• Mentors junior staff and assists with project planning as needed.
