Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to contribute to modernization of the healthcare decision intelligence platform. You will work with a team of engineers on full-stack development, APIs, cloud technologies, databases, automated testing, and AI-assisted software development.

Applicants should be enrolled in CS/Software Eng programs and have completed at least the third year of study. Prior professional software experience is not required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Expected to have completed the third year of undergraduate study prior to start.
• Foundational programming coursework and projects in one or more modern languages.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, and delivery of Lyric’s software platform.
• Work on modernization initiatives involving .NET, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and web applications.
• Develop and test RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable architecture.
• Contribute to front-end development using Angular, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Gain hands-on experience with SQL Server and data modeling, queries, and performance.
• Use AI-assisted tools to support coding, debugging, and documentation while applying human judgment.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies; learn CI/CD practices.
