Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to contribute to a modernizing healthcare platform. You will work on full‑stack development, RESTful APIs, and cloud deployments while applying AI-assisted coding tools.

The role emphasizes code quality, security, and human judgment in evaluating AI outputs. The 12‑week program targets students who have completed at least their third year in CS/SE/CE/IT programs and offers exposure to Azure/AWS and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Expected to have completed the third year of undergraduate study prior to the start of the internship.
• Foundational programming experience gained through coursework, projects, or university activities.
• Familiarity with at least one modern language such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C++.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software development principles.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, and delivery of software supporting Lyric's platform.
• Work on modernization initiatives involving .NET, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and web apps.
• Develop and test RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable architecture.
• Contribute to front-end development using Angular, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Gain hands-on experience with relational databases like SQL Server and data modeling concepts.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and receive feedback on practices, architecture, and performance.
• Develop automated tests and learn CI/CD integration.
