Lyric, a leader in healthcare decision intelligence, invites you to join as a Software Engineer Intern. This 12-week remote internship in the US offers hands-on experience across full-stack development, APIs, cloud technologies, and AI-assisted software development under senior engineers.

You will contribute to design, testing, and delivery while learning modern .NET, databases, and CI/CD practices. No prior professional experience required, and visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field
• Expected to have completed the third year of undergraduate study prior to the start of the internship
• Completion of university coursework in programming, software development, data structures, algorithms, databases, or related disciplines
• Foundational programming experience from coursework, projects, or research
• Familiarity with at least one modern programming language such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, or similar
• Foundational understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and software development principles
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub
• Interest in using AI in the software lifecycle and validating AI-generated work
• No prior professional software engineering experience required

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, and delivery of software supporting Lyric's platform
• Work on modernization initiatives involving .NET, APIs, databases, cloud tech, and web apps
• Assist with developing and testing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Contribute to front-end development using Angular/React/JavaScript/TypeScript
• Gain hands-on experience with SQL Server and relational databases
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, and documentation
• Participate in code reviews and learn best practices in architecture and testing
• Develop automated tests and learn CI/CD practices
• Identify and debug defects and performance issues
• Learn cloud exposure in Azure and/or AWS and observability practices
