Agile Defense is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our remote US team. You will contribute to development and optimization of software systems supporting mission-critical outcomes for clients.

The role requires coding, testing, and collaboration across product teams in an Agile environment. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in software engineering, strong Java/JavaScript skills, and experience with React/Angular, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable and efficient software solutions in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions aligned with client requirements and standards
• Optimize existing systems for performance and maintainability
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with minimal disruption
• Conduct code reviews and ensure secure coding practices
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and improvements
