Job summary

Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Training, Logistics, and Simulation division seeks a Software Developer. You will use Unreal Engine and modern C++ to build and enhance the Prepar3D Fuse product for military and civilian simulation training across platforms from mobile to full-scale simulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline with at least 2 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in modern C++ and hands-on Unreal Engine experience.
• Experience with source control, debugging tools, and performance profiling.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software for simulation and training environments.
• Create and optimize game engine plugins for integration with existing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share best practices and guide design decisions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems with a methodical approach.
• Design, develop, and integrate new features from concept to deployment, ensuring robustness and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and follow SDLC best practices.
• Stay aware of industry trends to improve product quality and efficiency.
