Salt Lending is seeking a Software Development Manager to own delivery of our core platform and guide broader engineering initiatives. This hybrid role manages a dedicated team, sets technical strategy, and drives rapid fintech innovation with AI integrations.

The ideal candidate has extensive fintech engineering leadership, hands‑on experience with scalable microservices, and a passion for secure, high‑quality software delivery.

Qualifications

8+ years in software development, with leadership experience in engineering management.
Proven track record in fintech or financial services platforms.
Hands-on experience building and scaling production systems handling high‑volume financial transactions.
History of on‑time delivery and team recruitment/retention.

Responsibilities

Lead sprint planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
Define coding standards, security practices, and development workflows.
Ensure platform reliability with monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and timelines.
Drive technical debt remediation alongside delivering new capabilities.
Evaluate and integrate third‑party services (custodians, KYC providers, data feeds).
