Salt Lending is seeking a Software Development Manager to own delivery of our core platform and guide broader engineering initiatives. This hybrid role manages a dedicated team, sets technical strategy, and drives rapid fintech innovation with AI integrations.

The ideal candidate has extensive fintech engineering leadership, hands‑on experience with scalable microservices, and a passion for secure, high‑quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development, with leadership experience in engineering management.
• Proven track record in fintech or financial services platforms.
• Hands-on experience building and scaling production systems handling high‑volume financial transactions.
• History of on‑time delivery and team recruitment/retention.

Responsibilities

• Lead sprint planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
• Define coding standards, security practices, and development workflows.
• Ensure platform reliability with monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and timelines.
• Drive technical debt remediation alongside delivering new capabilities.
• Evaluate and integrate third‑party services (custodians, KYC providers, data feeds).
