Job summary

Jobot is seeking a detail-oriented Software Configuration Specialist to join our Technology team. You will configure and maintain software environments across development, testing, staging, and production, ensuring changes are documented and approved.

You’ll support releases, versioning, and runbooks while collaborating with Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Product to improve automation and deployment processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software configuration, systems support, or related technical roles.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in software development or SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Understanding of release and deployment processes.
• Experience with configuration and environment management.
• Exposure to embedded or real-time systems.
• Experience supporting enterprise or hybrid environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and detail orientation.
• Ability to work across technical and customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain software applications, environments, and system settings.
• Manage configuration baselines across dev, test, staging, and production.
• Ensure configuration changes are documented, traceable, and approved.
• Support software releases, builds, and deployments.
• Maintain configuration records, versioning, and release docs.
• Collaborate with Engineering and QA for consistency across builds.
• Develop SOPs, configuration docs, and runbooks.
• Support multi-tenant SaaS environments with feature flags and settings.
• Assist with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Maintain configuration matrices and traceability for embedded systems.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues across environments.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support customer-facing teams with configuration issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve tools, automation, and processes.
• Ensure practices align with security and change-management standards.
