Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Systems Engineer who thrives in customer-facing production environments to join our team. You will support production systems, infrastructure, and end users, ensuring high availability and operational excellence across Linux and Windows platforms and containerized apps.

You will participate in on-call rotations, upgrades, and documentation while collaborating with software and QA teams to resolve incidents and improve system reliability in a fast-paced, enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting production systems, infrastructure, or enterprise applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience supporting Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to independently manage workload and prioritize competing tasks.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
• Experience supporting high-availability or 24x7 operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary customer liaison by responding to operational questions, incidents, and support requests.
• Support and troubleshoot Network Video Recorder (NVR) platforms and associated infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, application, and communication issues.
• Participate in client meetings, change control activities, and operational reviews.
• Perform software and hardware upgrades across Linux, Windows, and COTS solutions.
• Monitor and support containerized applications and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Provide operational support for production systems in a 24x7 environment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to operations personnel and end users.
• Identify opportunities for system improvements and recommend solutions that enhance reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering and QA teams to test, deploy, and support applications.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation.
