Job summary

U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) seeks a Social Worker to support Home Study and Post Release Services. The role is remote, with up to 50% travel across NY/NJ/Baltimore-DC metro areas, and requires a Master's in social work or equivalent experience.

Starting pay is $77,657.08 and may adjust with experience, education, and cost of living. Travel, documentation, and collaboration with a network of resources are key aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field; LMSW/LCSW preferred, or a Bachelor's with 5+ years clinical experience.
• At least 1 year of direct clinical experience.
• Experience in child welfare, placements, family preservation, behavioral health counseling, and social services preferred.
• Ability to write professional, thorough assessment reports.
• Knowledge of immigrant community local resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate clinical case management to unaccompanied children (UC) and sponsors.
• Carry a caseload of 5–10 Enhanced Post Release Services (Level 3) cases.
• Conduct brief clinical interventions to address crises and family conflict.
• Complete needs assessments and develop case plans with attention to culture and language.
• Maintain records per USCRI and ORR policies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and provide referrals, outreach, and advocacy.
