Job summary

USCRI is seeking a Social Worker to support the Home Study and Post Release Services teams. The role is remote with up to 50% travel and requires strong clinical skills to assist unaccompanied children and sponsors.

Starting pay is $77,657.08 per year and may vary by experience, education, and cost of living. The position emphasizes culturally- and linguistically-responsive case management and collaboration with local resources.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field with 3+ years of progressive experience.
• 1 year of direct clinical experience required.
• Spanish language fluency required; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate clinical case management to UC with complex needs.
• Carry a caseload of 5 to 10 Enhanced Post Release Services cases.
• Conduct brief clinical interventions to help families address crises.
• Complete needs assessments for unaccompanied children and sponsors; develop plans with attention to culture, language and circumstances.
• Maintain records per USCRI and ORR policies.
• Provide information, education, referrals, advocacy, and support to ensure children receive services.
• Assess placement safety and appropriateness using child welfare principles.
• Build a network of local pro bono legal resources and service providers.
• Coordinate and maintain communication with stakeholders.
• Participate in regular training and sessions with supervisor and HQ staff.
