Job summary

U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) is seeking a Social Worker to support Home Study and Post Release Services. The role is remote with travel up to 50% across NY/NJ and DC metro areas. Starting pay is $77,657.08 and may vary by experience and cost of living.

The position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent experience, fluency in Spanish, and strong case management, documentation, and collaboration skills with networks of legal and social service providers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related behavioral science and 3+ years clinical experience or a Bachelor's with 5+ years clinical experience.
• Direct clinical experience minimum 1 year is required.
• Experience in child welfare, child placements, family preservation or behavioral health services preferred.
• Trauma-informed approach and crisis intervention skills are expected.
• Excellent report writing and knowledge of immigrant community resources are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate clinical case management to unaccompanied children (UC) and families.
• Manage a caseload of 5–10 Enhanced Post Release Services cases.
• Conduct brief interventions to address crises and family conflicts.
• Complete needs assessments and develop culturally informed case plans.
