Job summary

Kiva is seeking a Social Media Associate to amplify its mission, grow brand and engagement across Instagram and Facebook, with potential to expand to YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, and TikTok. You will partner with the Sr.

Manager of Growth and Lifecycle to plan, create and schedule content, apply data-driven insights, and keep channels aligned with organizational priorities. This role emphasizes collaboration with Creative and Communications teams, a hands-on publishing cadence, and a commitment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing social media publishing and community engagement.
• Demonstrated experience in social media management for established brands (nonprofit or corporate).
• Experience with Sprout Social or similar social management platforms.
• Experience with Canva and implementing brand guidelines into designs.
• Strong attention to detail and operational consistency.
• Clear, professional written communication skills.
• Ability to triage and elevate issues appropriately.
• Comfortable working independently within a defined scope.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy for social profiles and establish scheduling cadence.
• Collaborate with Sr. Manager to manage relationships with paid influencers.
• Support paid social goals through organic channels and improve content creation efficiency.
• Plan, pitch, and manage design and copywriting for organic channels.
• Develop expansion strategy to new channels with Growth & Lifecycle team.
• Coordinate with Creative and Communications to source assets and plan schedules.
• Assist annual campaigns like Giving Tuesday with tailored content.
• Stay updated on platform algorithms and adapt strategies.
• Keep profiles organized and up-to-date with clear about sections.
