Job summary

Kids for the Future is hiring a Healthy Social Behaviors Coach to support childcare providers in licensed facilities across Western North Carolina. The role focuses on social-emotional development, coaching, and reducing expulsions through professional development and collaborative intervention.

Responsibilities include coaching visits, PD delivery, maintaining resource lists, and partnerships with specialists. This is a remote, full-time exempt role requiring residency in the service counties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an approved field such as early childhood education, child development, child psychology or social work.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with preschool children, families or programs serving young children.
• EEC Level 11 recommended; TAE and PDE required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching visits in licensed childcare facilities to mentor teachers and directors.
• Deliver professional development and training on social-emotional development and challenging behaviors.
• Maintain and update community resource lists of practitioners and mental health professionals.
• Cultivate partnerships with behavioral specialists and educators to strengthen resources.
• Promote HSBI resources among childcare providers and intermediary agencies.
• Collaborate with the HSBI team to support goals and evaluation outcomes.
• Participate in project meetings and regional team meetings as directed.
• Support project evaluation through data collection and timely weekly data entry.
• Ensure timely and appropriate internal and external communication.
• Maintain confidentiality while advocating for children and families.
