Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) to join our remote freelance team. You will analyze realistic SOC incident scenarios, classify severities, and validate AI outputs to ensure they reflect experienced analyst reasoning. This is a flexible, contract‑hour engagement designed for 10–40 hours per week.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in SOC or IR, experience with SIEMs and alert triage, and the ability to work independently on an asynchronous schedule from home.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in SOC, incident response or security operations.
• Familiar with SIEM platforms and alert triage processes.
• Able to distinguish true signals from noise and false positives.
• Able to clearly articulate reasoning behind triage and response decisions.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working asynchronously from home.

Responsibilities

• Analyze realistic SOC incident and alert scenarios to evaluate what is happening and why it matters.
• Classify severity levels, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions.
• Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and real‑world relevance.
• Validate AI-generated security outputs to reflect experienced analyst work.
• Provide structured feedback that improves AI model performance in security contexts.
