Alignerr Corp. is seeking a Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) for a remote hourly contract. Your SOC expertise will help shape how AI models reason through threats, triage alerts, and respond to incidents, coordinating with AI researchers and security teams.

You will analyze incident scenarios, classify severity, and ensure AI outputs align with real-world investigation workflows. This freelance role offers flexible hours (10–40 per week) and the chance to influence cutting-edge security

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations.
• Familiar with SIEM platforms, alert triage workflows, and investigation methodologies.
• Skilled at separating true security signals from background noise and false positives.
• Able to clearly articulate reasoning and document findings in structured formats.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an async environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze realistic SOC incident and alert scenarios, identifying what's happening and why it matters
• Classify alert severity, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions
• Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and real-world alignment
• Evaluate AI-generated security outputs and flag gaps between AI reasoning and how analysts actually work
• Provide structured feedback that helps AI systems better mirror professional threat detection and response
