Qualifications

• Four years of professional experience in SNAP including policy knowledge and interpretation.
• Associate degree in human services, business, psychology, law, social work, nutrition, public health or related field with emphasis in eligibility and three years of relevant experience administering or determining eligibility for human service programs.
• Bachelor's degree in human services, business, psychology, law, social work, nutrition, public health or related field and two years of relevant experience administering or determining eligibility for human service programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-authorization reviews of SNAP cases to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and verify accurate eligibility determinations and benefit calculations.
• Review applications and recertifications to ensure alignment with SNAP policy.
• Maintain timely, accurate reviews to support program integrity and prevent delays in benefit issuance.
• Provide real-time feedback to staff and document findings; communicate error trends to leadership for process improvement.
• Prepare and process SNAP cases in the SPACES eligibility system and authorize benefits as appropriate.
