Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an SMS Focal to lead the Safety Management System across the Forging & Material Quality Supply Chain. You will promote a safety-first culture, coordinate product safety initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years quality assurance or safety experience in manufacturing/aerospace environments.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across leadership and regulatory bodies.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems and aerospace quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the SMS per enterprise standards.
• Facilitate risk identification, analysis, and mitigation with SAT/SRB teams.
• Prepare and submit product safety performance reports to leaders and SMS teams.
• Monitor compliance with SMS policies and conduct safety audits.
• Support change management initiatives within Safety Risk Management.
• Provide SMS training and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Disseminate product safety information across supply chain and enterprise teams.
• Collaborate with other GE Aerospace sites to share lessons and align SMS objectives.
• Track safety performance metrics and support audits.
