Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Safety Management System (SMS) Focal to partner with site leadership across Terre Haute, IN and GE-Indy. You will drive SMS deployment, governance, and continuous improvement, coordinating with Safety Review Boards and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with enterprise requirements and regulatory expectations.

You will promote a strong product safety culture, lead risk identification and mitigation, and support audits and investigations to continuously improve site

Qualifications

Must have quality assurance experience in manufacturing or aerospace.
Ability to read and interpret quality datasets and reports.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the site SMS per enterprise requirements.
Coordinate with SATs/SRBs to support effective SMS risk management.
Support product safety investigations and report preparation to governance bodies.
Conduct site audits and reviews to verify SMS adherence and readiness for regulatory audits.
Facilitate change management integration for product safety risk controls.
Provide SMS training and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor’s degree

High school diploma + 4+ years QA experience
