Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Safety Management System (SMS) Focal to partner with site leadership and drive SMS deployment across Terre Haute, IN and GE-Indy sites. The role emphasizes safety culture, risk mitigation, and regulatory readiness, with travel between sites.

The incumbent will support investigations, audits, and continuous improvement, reporting to enterprise SMS teams and site leadership to advance a proactive safety framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years QA experience in aerospace or 6+ years with a HS diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years QA experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems and audits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead SMS implementation and maintenance across Terre Haute and GE-Indy sites.
• Coordinate with SATs and SRBs for product safety risk management.
• Support product safety investigations and reporting to SMS stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with enterprise SMS policies.
