Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Product Safety Lead to drive the Safety Management System across manufacturing sites. You will lead risk analysis, incident investigations, audits, and change management, while collaborating with the enterprise SMS team and other GE sites to reduce risks and improve safety outcomes.

The role requires in-person New Hire Orientation on Day 1 and offers a comprehensive benefits package and a performance-based bonus plan.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree is required; alternative includes a high school diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS experience.

Responsibilities

Safety Management System Implementation – lead development, implementation and maintenance of SMS.
Safety Risk Management – facilitate risk identification, analysis and mitigation with SAT/SRB.
Incident Investigation and Reporting – prepare and submit safety performance reports.
Compliance and Auditing – monitor site-level SMS policy compliance and conduct audits.
Management of Change – support risk management within change initiatives.
Training and Awareness – provide SMS and Human Factors training across the site.
Collaboration and Communication – share safety info and align with enterprise SMS.
Performance Monitoring – analyze safety metrics and drive continuous improvement.
FLIGHT DECK – implement daily management and standard work across teams.
Leads a small to medium team; influences strategy and resource allocation.
Interprets business challenges and identifies best practices.
