Job summary

ABB seeks a Project Operations Manager to lead on-site activities for medium to large projects in a remote work model based in Salt Lake City, UT. The role reports to the Project Operations Manager and focuses on cost-effective execution per contract specs, quality, and safety during start-up, construction, erection, and commissioning.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5+ years of related experience, preferably in industrial/manufacturing settings and mining exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant project operations experience.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing spaces.
• Ability to operate in both engineering and service environments.
• Mining industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site activities to ensure successful start‑up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning per contract specs.
• Monitor schedule, safety, and quality; review reports and ensure timely handover of work areas.
• Act as project representative, building relationships with customers and authorities/suppliers.
• Close punch lists, handovers, as-built docs, material reconciliation, and final customer certification.
