Job summary

ABB is seeking a Project Operations Manager to lead on-site activities for medium to large projects based in Salt Lake City, UT. The role requires coordinating startup, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably an engineering background, and experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Engineering degree preferred.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to operate in both engineering and service environments.
• Mining industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all on-site activities to ensure successful startup, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure activities are executed per schedule, review reports, and hand over work areas.
• Represent the project to customers and local authorities/suppliers to secure active support.
• Close punch lists, hand over installed equipment, finalize de-mobilization, reconcile materials, and obtain final certification.
