Job summary

IBSS Corp. is seeking an experienced Student Information System Administrator to support a global K-12 education mission, providing hands-on administration for Follett Aspen.

The role collaborates with government staff, schools, vendors, and data engineering teams to maintain operations, improve data quality, and advance SIS modernization initiatives. Remote work flexibility is offered with a focus on secure access; applicants must be able to obtain a Secret clearance and have 5 years of SIS

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of hands-on experience administering or supporting a K-12 SIS.
• Experience with Follett Aspen or a comparable K-12 SIS.
• Strong understanding of student information workflows.
• Familiarity with the Ed-Fi Data Standard and education data exchange concepts.
• Ability to translate operational needs into documented requirements and tests.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer the SIS: configurations, user accounts, permissions, reference tables, forms, workflows, and processes across environments.
• Support school operations: enrollment, attendance, scheduling, grading, transcripts, and parent/student access.
• Manage year-end rollover and school-year startup activities to maintain continuity.
• Maintain data quality and reporting: develop reports, exports, and validation.
• Support integrations: Aspen-to-Ed-Fi mappings, interface troubleshooting, and data validation.
• Support modernization and migration: document processes, test scenarios, and post-transition support.
• Resolve issues: investigate problems, coordinate vendor support, test fixes and deployments.
• Document and share knowledge: operating procedures and user guidance.
