Zusammenfassung

RTX is seeking a Principal Should Cost Engineer, remote from the US, to design, build and operationalize a should-cost capability for RTX's sourcing teams. You will lead cost modeling across complex assemblies and parts, leveraging aPriori and regression models to drive cost transparency for supplier negotiations.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years, plus SAP/ERP experience.

Qualifikationen

Degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
Experience in should costing or designing to cost.
Experience with engineering drawing, reading, and interpretation.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Aufgaben

Lead cost modeling and benchmarking for complex assemblies and parts.
Utilize aPriori and regression models to support cost estimations.
Should costing for components and assemblies, translating drawings into costed elements.
Develop and maintain cost roll ups and drivers for negotiations.
Create assumptions and cost driver logic.
Use historical data to build forward-looking models when software isn't available.
Validate and calibrate models regularly and train users.
Conduct should-cost assessments on parts using aPriori.
Occasional travel with Supply Chain managers, minimal.
