Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Should Cost Engineer for a remote role based in the United States. You will lead cost modeling across complex assemblies, translating engineering data into costed elements and supporting supplier negotiations.

Proficiency with aPriori, regression models, and SAP is required. You will develop cost roll-ups, establish driver logic, and use historical data for forward-looking estimates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with strong cost experience.
• Experience with should costing or cost design required.
• Experience with engineering drawings/interpretation; ERP experience (SAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost modeling and benchmarking for complex assemblies and parts.
• Utilize aPriori and regression models to develop cost data.
• Translate drawings/models into costed elements (material, labor, OH, tooling, logistics).
• Develop and maintain cost roll-ups and drivers for supplier negotiations.
• Create assumptions and cost driver logic for forward-looking estimates.
• Validate and calibrate models periodically and train new users.
