Job summary

GovCIO LLC is seeking a remote ServiceNow Solutions Architect to lead the architectural design and roadmap for the ServiceNow platform for the US Courts. This role is remote with base in San Antonio and requires deep expertise across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and integrations.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, govern platform standards, oversee deployments, and mentor developers while staying current with ServiceNow releases and best practices to ensure scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of ServiceNow experience.
• 7+ years in ServiceNow, with 3+ years in architectural or lead design responsibilities.
• Deep expertise in ITSM, ITOM (Discovery/Service Mapping), CMDB, ITAM, SPM or related modules.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data architecture, workflow engines, scripting, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, Service Portal, UI Builder, and integration frameworks.
• Experience with platform governance, solution reviews, and enterprise-scale implementations.
• Proven experience architecting integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, or ETL tools.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Clearance Required: Ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and roadmap for the ServiceNow platform—including ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, SPM and other modules.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for ServiceNow architecture, integrations, and data model strategy.
• Establish and enforce platform governance, development standards, and best practices.
• Oversee the configuration, customization, and deployment of ServiceNow applications.
• Prepare architecture documentation, technical roadmaps, and design specifications.
• Review and validate solutions developed by internal teams and vendors to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines.
• Drive CMDB maturity, discovery architecture, service mapping, and data quality initiatives.
• Architect and guide integrations using MID Servers, APIs, web services, and data exchange frameworks.
• Conduct platform performance reviews and ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.
• Optimize platform performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to ServiceNow developers and administrators.
• Stay updated on ServiceNow releases, new capabilities, and emerging platform best practices.
• Evaluate new ServiceNow features and recommend platform improvements.
