Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer (Remote) to lead white glove support for cloud adopters as part of VA’s Data Modernization initiative. The role involves architecting and expanding ServiceNow applications, working with Product Owners and Scrum Teams, and guiding migrations to the cloud.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in ServiceNow/Now Platform, Azure or equivalent cloud experience, and strong documentation and executive‑level communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a technical field with 12+ years of related experience; degree substitution allowed.
• 5+ years’ experience in ServiceNow and the Now Platform – ITSM, App Engine, and/or Integration Hub.
• Experience managing VA Department of Veterans Affairs projects.
• Expertise with Azure or other major cloud platforms.
• Strong data lake knowledge (Delta Lake or similar).
• Ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams and document SOPs.
• Experience creating and presenting executive summaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead white glove support for customers adopting cloud solutions as part of VA’s Data Modernization initiative.
• Architect, maintain, and expand a set of custom ServiceNow applications.
• Work with Product Owners and Scrum Teams on requirements, backlog, and user stories.
• Serve as intake SME for migration to the cloud and develop a knowledge base.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to meet program requirements and timelines.
• Provide progress reports and manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
