Job summary

Cognizant is recruiting an experienced ServiceNow Lead Developer to lead the design, development, integration and enhancement of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. The role provides technical leadership to development teams, drives platform best practices, and delivers scalable solutions across modules while aligning with business and IT objectives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on ServiceNow development and administration.
• 2+ years leading ServiceNow development teams or projects.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, Service Portal, App Engine, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
• Proven experience with ITSM, CMDB, and CSDM.
• Hands-on with at least two additional modules such as ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, or SecOps.
• Experience designing and implementing REST/SOAP integrations and MID Server configurations.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and ITIL.
• Experience with upgrades, release management, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead ServiceNow development activities including design reviews and deployment planning.
• Design and develop solutions leveraging ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, HRSD.
• Develop and optimize Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Flow Designer workflows.
• Architect and implement integrations using Integration Hub, REST, SOAP, and MID Servers.
• Establish CMDB governance, Discovery schedules, data reconciliation rules, and CSDM alignment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support platform upgrades, release management, and ATF implementation.
• Provide mentoring to developers, administrators, and support teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow dev standards and best practices.
