Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Lead Developer to drive design, development, integration, and enhancements of enterprise ServiceNow solutions from remote locations. You will provide technical leadership to teams, implement platform best practices, and deliver scalable solutions across multiple ServiceNow modules.

The role requires 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience and 2+ years of team leadership, with strong JavaScript and ITSM/CMDB/CSDM expertise.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on ServiceNow development and administration.
• 2+ years leading ServiceNow development teams or projects.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, Service Portal, App Engine, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
• Proven experience with ITSM, CMDB, and CSDM.
• Hands-on experience with at least two additional modules such as ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, or SecOps.
• Experience designing and implementing REST/SOAP integrations and MID Server configurations.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ITIL processes.
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, release management, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead ServiceNow development activities, including design reviews, code reviews, and deployment planning.
• Design and develop solutions leveraging ServiceNow capabilities across ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, and HRSD.
• Develop and optimize Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Flow Designer workflows.
• Architect and implement integrations using Integration Hub, REST, SOAP, and MID Servers.
• Maintain CMDB governance, Discovery schedules, data reconciliation rules, and CSDM alignment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support platform upgrades, release management, and ATF implementation.
• Provide technical mentoring to developers, admins, and support teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards and best practices.
