Job summary

ABB is seeking a Service Manager to drive installed base service for control system upgrades and expansions. You will work remotely (OH/TX preferred) but engage with customers and ABB teams to grow the service portfolio and profitability.

You will lead sales activities, translate customer needs into ABB service offerings, and build lasting relationships while managing CRM and sales plans. This role emphasizes technical leadership and market expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• 8+ years in automation systems; DCS experience preferred.
• Comfortable presenting to customers and vendors.
• MS Office skills required; Salesforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Penetrates into Installed Base, promotes upgrades and value-add solutions.
• Develops sales plans, pricing strategies and recovery plans as needed.
• Uses IB database to identify and develop service opportunities and updates it regularly.
• Focuses on the entire service portfolio to secure profitability.
• Generates service leads and explores new market opportunities.
• Sells service portfolio to expand ABB footprint in designated areas.
• Translates customer needs into ABB service offerings and solutions.
• Builds long-term customer relationships and manages CRM pipeline.
• Updates and monitors proposals and tenders and follows up on status.
