Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Business Analyst (HR/Workday Payroll) to support a high-profile payroll initiative. The role focuses on evaluating payroll operations, governance, and related financial reporting processes following an ERP implementation.

The candidate will leverage payroll systems process improvement, stakeholder management, and Workday/HR/payroll knowledge to document current-state processes and define future-state recommendations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, Management Consulting, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong process mapping and business process documentation expertise.
• Familiarity with payroll processes and payroll operations.
• Experience supporting ERP-related business process initiatives.
• Exposure to Workday or similar HCM/payroll platforms.
• Public sector or government experience strongly preferred.
• Experience creating executive-level deliverables and workplans.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive execution across multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and working sessions with leadership and SMEs.
• Document current-state business processes and develop future-state recommendations.
• Create process maps, workflows, governance documentation, and business process narratives.
• Identify process breakdowns, ownership gaps, and operational improvement opportunities.
• Develop project workplans, meeting materials, executive summaries, and status reporting.
• Establish governance frameworks and accountability structures for ongoing success.
• Support stakeholder alignment and executive decision-making through structured analysis.
• Drive deliverable completion and maintain project momentum in a fast-moving environment.
