Job summary

Power Design is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to optimize and support our Workday environment across Payroll and Finance. You will partner with business and IT teams to identify gaps, translate needs into solutions, and drive improvements from discovery through implementation.

You should have Workday administration experience, a solid grasp of Payroll and Finance processes, and the ability to own problems end-to-end while communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, technical, finance, accounting, information systems, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in business analysis, systems administration, process improvement, or related role.
• Workday system administration or configuration experience required with Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking.
• Experience with Workday Expenses, Projects, and/or Assets is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Payroll and Finance business processes.
• Ability to analyze processes, identify gaps, and translate needs into solutions.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Jira and Confluence experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday and related Payroll and Finance processes.
• Manage and support Workday functionality, focusing on Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Partner with Payroll, Finance, Accounts Payable, and IT to gather requirements and recommend improvements.
• Provide Workday operational support, including troubleshooting, reporting, data audits, and end-user training.
• Develop business requirements, process documentation, user stories, and test cases.
• Collaborate with technical and QA teams to test, validate, and implement solutions.
• Maintain system documentation and ensure data integrity and confidentiality across Workday.
