Job summary

World Fuel is seeking a proven wholesale fuels sales professional to drive growth across the Rockies region. You will manage your own territory, develop new business opportunities, and help customers navigate their fuel supply needs through delivered and FOB rack solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of wholesale fuel sales experience, a track record of growing revenue and profits, and the ability to travel 30-40% across the territory.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in wholesale fuel sales, fuel distribution, commercial fuels, energy sales, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success developing new business and growing customer accounts.
• Experience managing a territory and achieving revenue, volume, and profitability goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow fuel volumes, revenue, and profitability throughout the territory.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new wholesale fuel customers.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry relationships.
• Expand World Fuel's presence within the assigned market.
• Develop trusted relationships with fuel distributors, marketers, retailers, jobbers, resellers, and commercial fuel consumers.
• Manage an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying opportunities for additional growth.
• Understand customer supply requirements and deliver competitive fuel solutions.
• Retain and expand business by consistently delivering value and exceptional service.
• Sell both delivered transport fuel and FOB rack fuel supply programs.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Partner with supply, operations, and customer service teams to ensure successful execution.
• Provide customers with market insights and supply strategies that support their business objectives.
• Monitor fuel market trends, pricing, terminal activity, transportation costs, and competitive dynamics.
• Maintain a strong market presence through customer visits, industry events, and professional networking.
• Provide market intelligence and sales forecasts to leadership.
