Crum & Forster is hiring an Executive Underwriter for a fully remote role covering the NE US. You will lead broker relationships, analyze underwriting data, and build a profitable Middle Market book. The role emphasizes entrepreneurial collaboration and cross-functional teamwork with regional management.

Expect to underwrite Property, Auto, GL, and Workers’ Compensation, travel as needed, and drive growth with strategic broker partnerships. Strong experience and a strategic mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 6+ years of underwriting experience.
• Strong relationships with agencies in the assigned territories.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a forward-looking AI-enabled underwriting environment.
• Knowledge of Property, General Liability, Automobile and Workers’ Compensation.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional broker planning and manage broker relationships as the primary contact.
• Develop annual business goals for assigned agents and analyze results.
• Underwrite Medical lines for a Middle Market portfolio and meet profitability targets.
• Travel as required and represent the region at industry events.
• Maintain documented underwriting files and collaborate with internal teams.
