Job summary

Crum & Forster (C&F) is adding a Senior Underwriter to its Middle Market Solutions team. This role can be fully remote in the Continental US and focuses on underwriting complex property opportunities with a market-facing emphasis.

We seek an experienced property underwriter who can collaborate with regional brokers, manage a profitable book, and contribute to growth while leveraging a strong knowledge of CAT exposures and treaty structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years of underwriting experience preferred.
• Strong technical property underwriting expertise.
• Strong understanding of CAT exposures, CAT deductibles and CAT aggregations.
• Strong market facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex property opportunities and collaborate with regional brokers.
• Develop and manage agency relationships with superior customer service.
• Review underwriting data to select superior property risks and build a profitable book.
• Travel may be required on occasion.
• Work closely with regional production underwriters and home office on referrals.
