Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, is seeking a seasoned Principal Consultant to lead transmission planning initiatives across interconnection, reliability, and regulatory compliance. The role combines high-level engineering with project leadership and client advisory responsibilities.

You will guide studies, manage multidisciplinary engagements, mentor staff, and support business development while representing the firm in industry activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in transmission planning or related fields; 12 years if PE is held.
• Experience leading technical projects and client engagements in electric utilities.
• Experience performing engineering studies for transmission systems, generation resources, energy storage, and large-load interconnections.
• Knowledge of utility planning, operations, reliability, and regulatory practices.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software (PSS E, PSLF, PSCAD, ASPEN, ETAP, TARA).
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, C, C++.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical leader and SME in transmission planning and related disciplines.
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Provide technical oversight for power system models, studies, analyses, and deliverables.
• Mentor engineers, consultants, and technical staff.
